Dato’ Shamesh holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from University of London and is a certified arbitrator. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar more than two decades ago.
He is an active member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Malaysia, International Trademark Association (INTA), ASEAN Intellectual Property Association (AIPA) and Malaysian Intellectual Property Association (MIPA).
Dato’ Shamesh’s practice has a corporate and civil litigation flavour specializing in areas among others, Intellectual Property, E-Commerce, Information technology, Defamation, Minority Shareholders Rights, Supply Chain, Logistics, Injunctions and Construction Law. He is an active litigator and a trademark marks agent. He has represented various multinationals from many sectors for example manufacturing, logistics, airfreight, cosmetics, food & beverages.
As he is currently a President of the Home Buyers Tribunal a Dispute Resolution platform established by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, he is very familiar with laws relating and connected to the Housing Development Act.
He currently serves as a member of the Intellectual Property and Admiralty and Shipping Committee of the Bar Council. Due to his extensive knowledge in corporate and company law, Dato serves as a director in few limited companies and a non independent director in 3A Resources Berhad a public listed company.
